Description

In this course, students will be placed in a K-12 setting in area schools to complete tasks that are directly tied to the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs). This course is designed to allow students multiple opportunities to observe and interact with teachers and students in the K-12 setting (approximately 60 hours) and participate in classroom tasks such as using data to drive lesson planning, parent communication, and classroom management planning. The College of Education will work cooperatively with local schools to place students in classrooms according to the students’ major/grade level preference. As part of the course requirements, students must pass the ESE Subject Area Exam (SAE) and provide documentation to the College of Education before the end of the course.Prerequisites: None
