Description
This course will allow students to be placed in an ESE Center School within Polk County Public Schools to complete tasks that are directly tied to the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs). This course is designed to allow students multiple opportunities to observe at the Center School (60 hours) and participate in classroom tasks with students who have low-incidence disabilities, including Severe and Multiple Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. As part of the course requirements, students must pass the Elementary Education Subject Area Exam (SAE) and a middle grades SAE of their choice (Math, Science, English, or Social Science) and provide documentation to the College of Education before the end of the course.
