Description
This course provides an introduction to the systematic process by which to conduct psychological research as well as the various research methods that can be used to acquire and advance knowledge. Students will explore the formal steps of the scientific method, the assumptions underlying the scientific method, and methodological concepts related to the scientific method. Special attention is given to the understanding of research concepts in the context of academic psychological literature and selecting a research area for the student’s dissertation. Prerequisite: None
